As part of the resort’s “FUNtastic Winter Wishes Come True” campaign packed with a fun-filled collection of dining and entertainment experiences as well as plenty of unmissable privileges, culinary exploration in winter will take on a new dimension at Galaxy Macau with its newly unveiled menu theme “Fuel Up for Success” to help guests boost their energy levels.
Inspired by the long history of traditional Chinese medicine, the new menu follows the principles of yin and yang to help the body achieve harmony. Each dish is meticulously prepared with high-quality medicinal ingredients contributing to the menu’s potent wellness benefits. Dishes are tasty and nourishing on their own, but put together as a set they form a powerful menu to replenish energy. Diners can savor delicious dishes and reap the benefits of 5,000 years of medical wisdom by ordering the six or eight-course set menu at Fook Lam Moon, or a la carte at Pak Loh Chiu Chow Restaurant, The Noodle Kitchen and Lugang Café from now till February 8, 2020.
The delectable and highly nutritious menu was jointly created by renowned Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) practitioner Cheong Weng Heng and Galaxy Macau’s acclaimed Chinese Master Chef Simon Tho. Cheong is a graduate of the highly respected Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has earned an excellent reputation in his field. He now practices medicine in Macau and is the private doctor of notable Chinese dignitaries. Chef Tho is a master of Chinese and Asian cuisines with in-depth culinary knowledge and boundless creativity, as well as an award-winning chef with a culinary career that spans nearly 30 years and a fair share of time in the kitchens of the most distinguished five-star hotels.
Featured dishes include: chilled drunken chicken with American ginseng and chicken essence jelly, to boost circulation and “qi”. Oyster, which is known to be beneficial to blood circulation and for the skin, is used in the grilled Japanese pearl oyster with cumin, ginger, and garlic. abalone, used in the stewed abalone and Japanese sea cucumber with snow chrysanthemum and tomato, can “clear heat” in the liver and improve vision. The dish slow-cooked lamb shank with Chinese yam and angelica sinensis, which brings out the golden trio of lamb, ginger, and angelica, can invigorate “yang” and prevent stiff joints in cold weather. There are other ingredient combinations as well based on ancient Chinese remedies to nourish and replenish the body.
Apart from the energy-boosting dining experience, “FUNtastic Winter Wishes Come True” campaign also features a 12-meter-tall Wishing Tree with complimentary trip to Finland for one lucky wish maker, valued hotel packages, fantastic gourmet sensations, generous shopping credits, Christmas Bliss spa journey, Saint Laurent New Concept Pop-up at Galaxy Macau and Hot Pot Street at Broadway Macau, awaiting all holidaymakers who are looking for a winter escape to celebrate the festive season and enjoy a fun-filled holiday with loved ones.
