‘One Beat, One Dance, One Vision for Peace’ themes this year’s 17th celebratory procession in Macau honouring the child Jesus through St. Nino de Cebu, characterized by the fundamentals of two steps forward and one step backward. Performed by the traditionally large crowd attending, the simple dance simulates the current of a river. This whole-day religious and cultural activity involves Mass (10:30am, St. Lawrence Church), Public Lunch (12:00 noon, Amizade Square), a procession passing by Sai Van Lake carrying the image of St. Nino (2:30pm to 3:30pm) plus street dancing followed by a stage programme (4:00pm to 8:00pm).
