As quickly as it sashayed down Fall/Winter Fashion Week runways, velvet is making its way to every fashion aficionado’s list of wardrobe staples for this season, and into ours too! This silky-soft, rich, and luxe fabric has proven to be versatile and practical in a way that it keeps you warm while still looking plush during the cool season. Jazz up this festive season with one or ALL of these velvet items we think are a must-have.
Blazer
Instantly turn any casual outfit to chic by adding a lush velvet blazer. It goes perfectly well with what you already have in your closet such as a basic T-shirt and blue denim. A black velvet blazer no doubt is the safest options but if you’re feeling a bit adventurous, go on and pick a bold color like royal purple or blue. If you dig subtle details rather than going all out on the velvet bandwagon, then a velvet bag is the right item to add flair to your fall/winter outfit. To be specific, velvet thigh-high and sock boots are the must-have shoes of the season. When the Kim Kardashians of the world started parading thigh-high and sock boots declaring them uniform, the fashion world is suddenly filled with all sorts of sock boots from nylon to cotton to, you guessed it, velvet.
