What does fashion mean to you?
The way you dress says a lot about you as a person. I do feel that fashion is a part of your identity, a way of expressing yourself.
How would you describe your personal style?
I would say I like to dress mostly casual, simple and in plain colors. I definitely turn to comfort more often than I turn to style. I would definitely pick wearing a pair of boots over a pair of heels any day.
Your favorite place to shop in Macau?
To be honest, there aren’t many places to shop in Macau, but Galaxy and Venetian are usually where I go.
Who was your first style icon?
My mother. Ever since I was a kid, my mom would always dress me up in really cute outfits and sometimes even in outfits that match hers. As she is a fashion designer, it’s kind of her nature to dress me up.
What is your view on Macau’s fashion scene, do we have one?
I would say the fashion scene in Macau is very much influenced by street style and the “hip hop culture”. Especially with the younger generation, the media is very influential and therefore, what is perceived as “cool” is what they try to dress themselves in.
How can Macau inspire the way you dress?
Macau is a place full of people with different backgrounds and cultures. I really think that with a little bravery, you can create something that breaks the norm with all the different influences.
What would be an ideal weekend in Macau?
I really like exploring Macau on weekends. Even though I was born and raised in Macau, I still manage to find really cool new places. I also love to go on hikes on the weekends and take some photos while I am at it.
What’s your favorite place in Macau to take photos?
I love taking photos in Taipa village or anywhere in Coloane.
Who takes photos for your outfits?
Mostly my boyfriend takes them for me.
What’s your fashion motto?
Dress well or die trying.
When you can’t think of anything to wear, what’s your go-to outfit?
Nothing better than a plain t-shirt, jeans, and a leather jacket.
What is your favorite fashion magazine? and why?
I don’t really read any fashion magazine, but I do find myself looking for outfit inspirations on the Internet a lot, on social platforms such as Pinterest and Instagram.
What’s the best advice you have ever been given?
When shopping for clothes, always check out the men’s section too. You never know what you’re going to find.
