Dear Macau Lifestyle Readers,
It has been a tough time in Macau after suffering from the destructive Typhoon Hato followed by the tropical storm Pakhar. Many of us are still struggling to make sense of it all. Some have lost loved ones, homes, and valuables.
There’s still so much more that needs to be done but a growing sense of rehabilitation amongst communities, associations, and volunteers, both in the public and private sectors makes the path ahead emboldening. What makes Macau a truly unique and beautiful place are the brave people that have kept on moving forward following the disaster despite the dampened atmosphere in the city.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their courage and resilience in these challenging times. Let us do our part no matter how small they may be to extend help to anyone in need. Let us raise issues with the proper authorities if any emergency situation needs immediate action and most of all, like each of you we are hoping to keep a positive and formidable spirit as we rise above this catastrophe. We believe that we can restore our home back to its splendor.
Here is an inspiring photo diary of the hard work and dedication of Macau locals, residents and volunteers.
