“IMAGINARY BEINGS” EXHIBITION BY PORTUGUESE ARTIST ANA ARAGAO
Taipa Village Cultural Association is proud to invite Portuguese illustration artist Ana Aragao to debut her solo exhibition in Macau. Her collection of artworks will showcase an array of building features in different forms and shapes that are drawn spontaneously.
She has an intensive background in architecture but builds her dream houses in illustrations and paintings. Fascinated with cities and their real or imaginary representations, Ana creates her own masterpieces. In 2014, Ana was selected as one of the 200 best illustrators worldwide by Lurzer’s Archive. The talented artist often takes part in exhibitions, lectures, and workshops.

2ND INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AND AWARDS—MACAO
Local audiences will be drawn by a colorful and exciting programme, while international guests and industry will not only get to taste the excitement of Macau as a destination but meet the Chinese and Asian industries and explore the best of new films from Asia. The industry experts in the organizing team will help film-makers and industry from both sides of the globe to get to know each other in the informal atmosphere of Macau. The festival will feature great directors and stars across its programme but the competition will hone in on first and second-time film-makers who are likely to attend and likely to remember Macao for their future films.
Films in the IFFAM programme will be shown to the public at Macao Cultural Centre, Macau Tower Convention and Entertainment Centre, and Cinematheque・Passion. Residents and visitors can buy the film tickets through www.macauticket.com starting from the 8th of November or at the screening venues during the film festival.

AUSTRALIAN ROCK LEGEND JIMMY BARNES HEADS TO MACAU
Iconic Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes is set to perform his greatest hits at The Parisian Theater for one night only on Saturday, December 9.
Considered by many to be the heart and soul of Australian rock ‘n’ roll, Barnes has enjoyed a colorful 40-year musical career and lived to tell the tale, earning him a place in the heart of every Australian in the process. Along the way, he has sold more records in Australia than any other local rock and roll artist.
After enjoying initial success with his legendary band “Cold Chisel”, Barnes went solo in 1984 with his debut album “Bodyswerve” immediately topping the charts, as did all his albums for a decade thereafter. His 1986 album, “For the Working Class Man”, gave him a signature sound and cemented his place at the center of his generation of Australians. Not only is it one of the most well-known songs in the country, it is also regarded as a ‘theme’ song for many Australians. His further hits included “Freight Train Heart”, “Barnestorming”, “Two Fires”, “Flesh and Wood”, (all No. 1 debuts) and “Soul Deep” – an album of classics that sold almost one
million copies.
