What does the word “fashion” mean to you?
Fashion means “style” and “trends” to me. I wear what I’m attracted to and what makes me comfortable. However, I wouldn’t say that I am fashionable but I think I am quite stylish. [laughs]
How would you describe your personal style?
Smart casual and a little retro sometimes.
How do you get your daily dose of fashion information?
Instagram & Tumblr.
Does fashion allow people to express their individuality or does it force people to conform?
I wish people can express their individuality through fashion.
How does Macau inspire the way you dress?
Not sure if it’s because of Macau but I like blue and white like the famous Portuguese tiles.
What do you think of Macau’s fashion scene? How can it be improved?
I sometimes think that it’s too materialized. People focus a little too much on the luxury brands. I would like to see more local and small designer brands being available in Macau.
What’s your go-to outfit when you don’t know what to wear?
A button down shirt with a black pair of jeans, sneakers.
What is your favorite place to shop in Macau?
H&M, Zara, Scotch & Soda.
Who takes photos of your outfits?
My friends.
How much attention do you pay to fashion in terms of trends in the way you dress?
Not enough. I usually can see what I like when casually browsing the web.
Which social media platform are you most active on?
Instagram and Facebook. Instagram is fun and cool. Facebook is where my generation spends time.
Which celebrities have the best style to you?
I think Jaden Smith has some really sick style.
