Cheoc Van Beach is a white sand paradise situated in a small bay, at the end of the main Coloane road. In the peak of summer, the beach is quite well used, so has lifeguard surveillance which is extra reassuring if you are planning to take little ones. Though a flat expanse of beach, you can find shade under some palm trees or at the little snack bar called Cheoc Van Café. The terrace of the cafe faces the sea and Cheoc Van Beach so is the perfect place to relax and take a break from the sun, with everything from local fast food to ice cream on offer for your refreshment. For more formal dining, there is also an Italian restaurant named La Gondola which served both lunch and dinner.
There is also a public swimming pool (if prefer not to swim in the sea) and a hotel named Pousada de Coloane which both overlook Cheoc Van Beach if you want to extend your stay. Read Macau Lifestyle guide to Cheoc Van Beach here.
