The Macao Conservatory is an art school in Macau–with its headquarters in St. Lazarus neighborhood–focusing on music and dance. With three different locations (each offering different programs and activities), it is the ideal place to either study or have the kids go for extracurricular activities. The building retains the colonial architecture from the Portuguese government’s era and it has been refurbished in recent years into a modern and contemporary structure.
Built in the 1930s, the structure housing the Macao Conservatory was revamped between 1987 and 1991 by the Cultural Bureau based on a design project by Portuguese architect, Ana Leandro.
