Cafe Nam Ping is without doubt one of the best places to try some local food. A small yet very old and well-known food joint in Macau it has been around for years. Their menu has a notable detail: even though it’s a Chinese place, all dishes are translated into English and Portuguese which makes for easy ordering no matter who you are travelling with.
One can eat a simple butter or jam toast but also opt for an omelet or fried eggs with bread. Oatmeal is also a clever option for colder weather and Cafe Nam Ping has it in all kinds of shapes and tastes. We also can’t go past the char sui egg sandwich, which is a steal at MOP$16, you can even get it to go if you prefer to walk and eat. Don’t mind the grumpy guy at the entrance, he has been like that for years- service is quick and humble and make sure you have cash and small notes.
Opening hours: daily, 6:00am–6:00pm
