New Yaohan is Macau’s biggest department store located in the city center and popular with both locals and tourists alike. The department store carries many different brands, most of them exclusive in Macau. From household appliances to children’s toys, men’s and women’s fashion, and more, New Yaohan has home appliances–kitchenware, electronics–and supplies, clothing, baby accessories, makeup, and perfumes, and selected furniture. It was previously–until the 90s–located close to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and was well-loved by children and youngsters because it was one of the only places in town featuring a shopping floor with large toys.
The department store has since relocated to the city center, sitting close to AIA Tower, Ting Ting Café Kiosk, right in front of the Anim’Arte Nam Van area. New Yaohan also features one of the most well-stocked supermarkets in Macau on its 7th floor. It includes several international brands and unique products, especially from Japan–beverages, yogurts, noodles–some from Europe, fresh sushi for takeaway, but also freshly baked bread on a daily basis! The shopping mall’s 8th floor is a food court where people can savor almost any kind of Asian cuisine: from traditional Cantonese to food from other parts of China, Japanese grilled specialties to fresh sushi, crafted ice cream, drinks, and crepes (savory and sweet) are available at affordable prices. There are several seating areas to choose from as well to enjoy your food.
Opening hours: Monday–Thursday, 12:00pm–8:30pm and Friday–Sunday, 11:00am–9:00pm
