It is now certain that there is not a time in the year that Macau runs out of art events. Our city is overflowing with so much culture and heritage that it can be appreciated in all forms and subjects. We are honored to have Marc Chagall, one of the most famous artists of the 20th century hold his exhibition in the midst of our city as well as some other promising local artists who are generously sharing their artworks and creations with us.
MARC CHAGALL: LIGHT AND COLOUR IN SOUTHERN FRANCE EXHIBITION

Holding its first exhibition here in Macau, the Macao Museum of Art is honored to have opened a selection of Marc Chagall’s works such as paintings, gouaches, lithographs, costumes, and tapestries which will highlight the pre-eminence of light and color in his creations.
Marc Chagall is one of the major artists of the 20th century, with a world of unique and diverse cultural influences by which he encountered during his lifetime marked by war and exile. Chagall’s Light and Color in Southern Frances explore the omnipresence of lights and colors in his work from the 1950s, inspired by the dazzling Mediterranean Sea and bright landscapes of the French River.

SEASON LAO SOLO EXHIBITION OPENING AT CREATIVE MACAU
Season Lao, a contemporary artist born in Macau but raised in Japan is working on mostly photos with a resistance to trend using tools such as a camera, his own eyes just like those Haiku poets and Nanaga artists aiming for universality, which remains unchanged through the test of time. Visit the world of the creator in an unknown yet nostalgic world. If you pay attention, the sound of the wind, of living creatures breathing, all sounds being handed down from the past to the future can be heard through just a portrait.

CHINA CULTURAL AND NATURAL HERITAGE DAY
Aiming to raise public awareness about the importance of the preservation of cultural heritage, the China cultural and natural heritage day has been celebrated annually since 2006. To mark the occasion, the Cultural Affairs Bureau is organizing several activities, including free visits to World Heritage sites and museums, talks and a heritage photography course (register now). They will also be hosting a promotional carnival that will be highlighting the city’s cultural heritage exposing the most of Macau.
