Hide Yamamoto is located in Studio City and offers an array of Japanese delicacies made from traditional recipes. Signature delights include Edomae sushi, teppanyaki, and modern robatayaki with fresh ingredients imported from Japan. Named after the eponymous chef who won the Global Chef Award from the World Gourmet Summit, this restaurant offers guests a top-notch dining experience. Chef Yamamoto served some celebrities, including US presidents Reagan, Bush, and Clinton!
Their revamped menu–as of 2021–includes cold dishes and warm dishes, but also sushi and sashimi, sushi rolls, robatayaki, teppanyaki, rice, and desserts. One of this restaurant’s highlights is its seven-course teppanyaki set menu (seasonal seafood chawanmushi, daily seafood special, and Japanese Oita Wagyu beef sirloin or tenderloin) and an eight-course premium sushi set menu (premium seasonal sashimi, tempura sakura shrimp cake, Edomae sushi, chef’s special grilled fish, and more).
Signature Japanese dishes include Japanese Oita wagyu beef specialty, sea urchin wrapped with wagyu beef tempura, sea bream, and pickled plum maki roll and toro and scallion maki roll, spring chicken stuffed with truffle butter rice, sea urchin omelet teppanyaki, grilled eel Kamameshi, as well as Ichigo parfait and chilled jelly with matcha ice cream.
Hide Yamamoto has the uttermost respect for the environment, thus being dedicated to a sustainable and environmentally-friendly menu regarding ingredients and products sourcing, cooking, among other areas.
