Miramar is located in a secluded part of Hac Sa Beach and its vehicle access is easy to miss. Miramar specializes in BBQ goods–both meat and fish–and serves a wide array of Portuguese dishes. Be it grilled or stewed, it’s ideal to take the family or a large group of friends as portions are considerably big and good to share. Miramar’s menu is wide and has something for everyone: from appetizers to mains–both vegetarian and non-vegetarian–they also serve some rare desserts such as Portuguese baba de camelo (a caramel-based mousse).
Miramar’s signature dishes include codfish-based ones, as well as fish or seafood pasta or rice. It is brought to the table in a huge covered casserole and once opened, the aroma of fresh seafood fills the table. One of the only places in Macau with an outdoor grill, this is sought-after by Portuguese people living in Macau, but also tourists and locals looking for freshly made food.
Miramar offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas and dogs are welcome in the latter, as well as smokers. Situated in front of Hac Sá beach, diners are able to overlook the sea and sand, while kids can play outside under adult supervision. The staff is nice and welcoming.
Opening hours: Monday–Friday, 11:30am–3:00pm and 6:00pm–11:00pm
Saturday and Sunday, 11:30am–11:00pm
