Solmar is a traditional Macanese and Portuguese restaurant located in the city center. When looking for some wholesome, traditional Macanese food, Solmar is a good option. With dim lighting and a vintage decor inside, it’s a good place for an intimate romantic dinner. It has received several medals and prizes over the years, both regional and international. This is one of the oldest eateries in Macau, being opened since 1961. It was very popular till the 90s.
Solmar’s signature dishes include crab curry, prawns a la Solmar, baked sea bass, rib eye steak and much more. They also have a vast wine list, with drinks from Portugal included. This restaurant is located close to The Grey Green, New Yaohan shopping mall, Ting Ting Café kiosk, but also the Old Court Building and other venues included in Nam Van. It’s also a 5-minutes walk from the Government Headquarters.
