Live Music Association–best known as LMA–is a live music venue set in Almirante Lacerda area. Located two minutes away from Kun Iam Temple, it’s on the 11th floor of an old industrial building. This venue specializes on bringing indie, rock, techno and electronic music performances to Macau. Be it international or local, one can expect LMA to have concerts or performances every other weekend. Inaugurated in 2008 by a group of young local music lovers, it features shows with bands and collectives from all over the world.
These are usually announced on their Facebook page. The venue offers a small yet inviting space, ideal for those looking to unwind while sipping a beer, a cocktail or a glass of wine. There’s a DJ mixing set on the back and a small stage at the front, where bands set up. There are also a few seats on the sides, but people are usually standing, dancing and chatting. The bar is set at the entrance and there are both male and female bathrooms inside. Smoking is allowed in the hall outside, close to the elevators, but ventilation is poor.
Opening hours: when events happen, 9:00pm–4:00am
