Loja de Canja Leong Heng Kei is a street food stall located on the same spot for almost 100 years now. It’s known for its wonton noodles soup–with the dumplings and the noodle dough being handmade–and it’s close to Nam Ping, five minutes away from Hong Kung Temple. It’s set in the area of Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16, on a narrow street also leading to old spots such as Rua dos Ervanários, Senado Square, but also Camões Garden. Leong Heng Kei received several awards and appraisals from Michelin as one of the best street food spots in Macau, most recently in 2019 and 2020.
This eatery has few tables–three large ones–which are usually shared between different customers who go there for traditional cantonese food, especially noodles or some wok-fried dish, like vegetables or noodles as well. It’s the ideal place for early birds to have breakfast, as it opens at 7:00pm, but not advisable for those seeking a local dining spot, since it closes early, around 7:30pm.
Opening hours: daily, 7:00am–7:30pm
