Michelin-awarded restaurant The Eight is located in Grand Lisboa hotel and is keen on serving traditional Chinese food flavors with a contemporary flair. Grand Lisboa is the only hotel in the world with two three-star restaurants under its roof. Signature dishes from their a-la-carte menu include crispy fried frog legs with spicy salt, chilled snow crabmeat with tomato, BBQ suckling pig, roasted pigeon, roasted goose with wild mushrooms, honey-glazed BBQ pork, watercress bisque, and much more.
The Eight is called so because of this number’s meaning in the Chinese culture: good fortune. Painted in dark colors–black and burgundy–and decorated with contemporary Chinese accessories such as chandeliers and paintings, another important element of The Eight is the swimming goldfish painted on the walls and their own logo, which is a symbol of good health and vitality.
Being in the center of Macau makes The Eight one of the best places to grab some high-end dim sum and have a great time with friends and family, although its decadent decorations and atmosphere invites couples to a romantic and secretive dinner rather than with kids.
Opening hours: Daily, 11:30am–2:30pm and 6:30pm–10:00pm
