Celebrate an Exquisite Father’s Day at The St. Regis Macao

(See featured image above)

Executive sous chef Michele Dell’Aquila at The Manor has crafted a special six-course dinner menu of the finest ingredients and wines to celebrate Father’s Day from June 18 to 20, 2021. The menu features the best of early summer ingredients, with an emphasis on European sourced produce, starting with Fassona beef tartare from the Piedmont region of northern Italy, served with Loire Valley asparagus from France.

Chef Michele uses French Beillevaire seaweed butter in an Acquerello risotto for extra richness, dressed with smoked kinmedai, baby spinach, scamorza cheese sauce, and dusted with fennel powder. For the meat-loving father in mind, Japanese Akaushi wagyu is lightly pan-seared to preserve its exceptional buttery flavor and served alongside fresh early summer vegetables, and then drizzled with cocoa beans and Madeira beef jus to balance the rich flavor of the wagyu.

Go for a night out trying the best gins in Macau

Created as a remedy for British soldiers to fight malaria in India, the Gin & Tonic has come a long way from a humble long drink to a complex cocktail. The pairing of distilled spirit with a bouquet of botanicals mixed with sparkling quinine soft drink today is a favorite indulgence of many bar-goers, not for its medicinal properties but the slight bitterness, herbal notes, and refreshing character. Every respectable drinking establishment and even dive bars worldwide have one or one hundred bottles of gin. However, some bartenders know how to serve a proper G&T better than others. We went bar hopping to come up with our list of the best places to drink Gin & Tonic in Macau. Take notes and plan a fun night out!

Our Lady of Penha Chapel Exterior Macau Lifestyle 3

Tour Penha Hill & Discover Greenery and Augustian Architecture

Macau’s history and landscape, in its early years under Portuguese rule, are undoubtedly rooted in religion. Penha Hill is one example of this presence, namely the Augustinian missionaries, who came mainly from Spain and Portugal. The landscaped environment on top of a hill–which is 62.7 meters above sea level–contains a church named after Our Lady of Penha, which is also from where the hill got its designation.
