To say that the iconic architecture is a masterpiece is simply an understatement. The building is strikingly powerful with an energy of its own that changes and continues to flow visually and aesthetically.

A GUIDE TO DEALING WITH LANDLORDS IN MACAU

The old adage of “treat others as you want to be treated” should, in theory, be applicable to the landlord-tenant relationship. Generally speaking—and this comes from over 12 years of working in the leasing business here—our experience is that landlords take a decent amount of care of their properties and their tenant’s needs. However, irrespective of country or culture, the landlord-tenant bond can be fragile and things could go awry. Especially when there is a language barrier—when, say, the landlord only speaks Chinese and the tenant only speaks English! So here are a few pointers on dealing with Macau landlords, which will hopefully help those of you renting to have a comfortable and happy stay.

BEST BREAKFAST SPOTS IN MACAU TO EAT LIKE A LOCAL

When it comes to breakfast, Macau and Hong Kong have a menu quite different from the rest of China. Besides fried noodles or rice, dishes such as Chee Cheong Fan, and French toast filled with peanut butter or ham and cheese toast are superbly popular with the locals.

These are all common in several restaurants in town. You can always try congee and choose to include centennial egg, pork, chicken or vegetables to it. Most of the neighborhood cha chaan tengs have the similar options too so try local flavors for a real taste of Macau.
