MACAO LOTUS FLOWER FESTIVAL

An annual tradition, the Macao Lotus Flower Festival always attracts visitors to admire the beautiful perennial aquatic plant found far and wide throughout China. Themed ‘Splendour of Lotus Flowers’ this year, the main exhibition located at the Taipa Houses employs a landscape dotted with architectural elements typical of South Asia, incorporating pointed arches and repeated geometric patterns to highlight the beauty of the lotus.

FEAST OF NA TCHA
The Feast of Na Tcha is deeply embedded in the history and culture of Macau. It is included on Macau’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List. This year, the Feast of Na Tcha is celebrated with a 3-day activity at the Na Tcha Temple located near the Ruins of St. Paul’s, with worship ceremonies, rituals, Cantonese opera and a parade.

DEBRIS WORKS BY ALEXANDRE FARTO AKA VHILS
The Cultural Affairs Bureau presents the exhibition “Debris Works by Alexandre Farto aka Vhils”, featuring more than 20 works including four new public murals, inspired by Macau. The show will take place at the Navy Yard No.1 Contemporary Art Center. The exhibition is organized by Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao SAR Government and co-organized by Hong Kong Contemporary Art Foundation (HOCA), supported by Fundação Oriente, Consulado Geral de Portugal em Macau e Hong Kong. The exhibition is open daily from 10:00am to 7:00pm except on Mondays.

PIONEERING WOMEN DIRECTORS: BREAK AND MAKE
Women always have unique, delicate and deep sense in filmmaking, conveying their feelings toward the worldly matters while men lack these touches.
A total of eight outstanding women directors from Europe, the USA, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong are selected by Cinematheque Passion and their 11 great films will be screening on June 10 to 25. We hope the audience can broaden their minds by viewing these alternative artworks. Agnès Varda, “the Ancestor of the New Film Wave” in France, will lead the way in this film festival as her films are creative, passionate, intelligent and rich in content.

G-DRAGON 2017 WORLD TOUR

MARCEL KHALIFE WORLD MUSIC CONCERT
Intense melodic Middle-Eastern winds will bring us the best of new Arabic sounds. Marcel Khalife will be stepping on stage for a great evening of musical exoticism and thrilling skill. TAIPA FLEA MARKET
Explore the beauty of the Taipa Village around Rua do Cunha Street with open-air stalls overflowing with souvenirs and bargains galore. BOK FESTIVAL
BOK Festival explores the prospection and potential of the theatre with ideas of connect, strive and fight. Celebrating five years since it’s launch, it has transcended into an anticipating event in the local community. This year, it focuses on the audience dynamics. With the understanding of the need for more dynamic audiences in theatre, more nonverbal and nonliteral interaction, it sought to address such dilemma.
