St. Lawrence Market is located in the center of the Barra area and features some of the freshest vegetables and fruits in town. However, it is unique in the area because, besides fresh goods, it also has a restaurant area upstairs, on the second floor. People usually head there during lunchtime, crowding the space that has both an interior and an outdoor area.
There’s a terrace as well, where it’s allowed to walk and rest, but no food or drinks permitted. The food court features several different kinds of cuisines: from noodles with egg to rice with fish in a pot, there is an array to choose from. The market is located a few minutes away from Portuguese Bakery and at a 10-minute walk from sites such as the Mandarin’s House, Lilau Square, S. Lourenço Church, amongst others. If you keep following the same road, you’ll find both A-Má Temple and the Macao Maritime Museum.
